Eastvantage Marks 3rd Year Visit to NORFIL Foundation
QUEZON CITY — September 8, 2018, marked Eastvantage’s third visit to the NORFIL Foundation as part of their corporate social responsibility efforts. This is also the company’s 8th year in business and has been the perfect opportunity to give back to the community.
The visit transpired after CareFair — a month-long fundraising activity held in the office which comprised of different activities such as foreign language lessons, DIY classes, chess and mobile game tournaments, and a mini concert to name a few.
And on that sunny Saturday, Eastvantage employees visited the NORFIL Training Center in Quezon City to spend time with the kids and their foster parents. The program for that day was composed of storytelling time, disaster awareness tips, and nursery rhymes. Everyone also enjoyed face painting, animal balloons, and a magic performance. The day was capped off with a short speech from Alex Tshidimba, the wife of Eastvantage co-founder & CEO Fred Tshidimba. Before the activities ended, NORFIL’s Executive Director, Ma. Teresa Nuqui, presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Eastvantage for their generosity. They also presented artwork which compiled different letters of gratitude from the foster parents and foster kids who have joined the get-togethers in previous years. The day ended with heartfelt well-wishes and appreciation from both parties.
The company outreach program was a definite success for everyone, especially the Eastvantage employees who were invigorated by the humbling and life-changing experience. No doubt everyone will be eagerly awaiting next year’s CSR event.
Fred and Joeri Timp, the founders, were in San Francisco, California from September 5-11 to attend the 2018 TechCrunch Disrupt event.
