PAL launches new B777 for London-Manila route
The route between London Heathrow and Manila has new aircraft in the form of B777, as confirmed by the Philippine Airlines, starting September 19, a few months earlier of its original December launch.
The new B777-300ER aircraft will replace the current A340, and offers a total of 370 seats. That’s 328 seats for economy and 42 for business class. There are more seats compared to the A340, which has only a mere 254 seats.
New features for business class includes a fully-flat bed, 18.4-inch TV screen, an ottoman seat that hybrids as storage space, in-seat USB ports, and of course -- retractable privacy dividers. For economy seats, they boast a 34-inch seat pitch, 11-inch TV screens, and USB ports.

This is an addition to PAL’s increase in Manila-London services that has started since June 28. This means there are more seats and more trips!
“Having daily flights will provide passengers taking the Manila - London route the flexibility to choose the schedule most suitable to their travel plans. The direct service to London Heathrow makes the journey most convenient and relaxing,” said PAL president Jaime J Bautista.
