Philippines ranks 24th for best place to live, work
According to the 2019 HSBC Expat’s annual survey, conducted among 18K expats across 163 markets using three major metrics: living, career opportunity, and family life, ranked the Philippines at 24th place.
The country ranked higher next to the US’ 23rd, and ahead by China by 3 points.
Reasonable cost of living and friendly people are among the reasons why expats prefer the country. And of course, its tropical climate and growing economy adds to the Philippines’ appeal as an expat destination in the ASEAN region.
In the past year and previous ones, the Philippines has been enjoying steady growth, mainly due to the business processing sector and the service sector.
