Any personal information that we collect via the website or that you have provided to us is stored on secure servers that are backed up from time to time. 

1.       How do we collect personal data?

We may collect personal or sensitive information from persons in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when someone visits our website, fills out one of our forms or applies for a job.

We may ask you for certain personal information, including, but not limited to, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and company name. Your decision to provide personal information to us is voluntary. You may choose to remain anonymous or voluntarily submit such information to us. Whichever the case, you will not be treated differently if you do not want to provide us with your personal information. Incomplete information may however make it impossible for us to fulfill some of the purposes of this privacy statement, or you may not be able to use our tools and systems which require the use of such personal data.

If you provide us with personal information of another person (for instance, an employee referral or customer referral), you should make the other person aware of this privacy statement and should make sure the person has given you consent to share the information with Eastvantage.

2.       What personal data do we collect?

Personal data means any information about an individual whose identity is apparent or if the identity can be reasonably and directly ascertained from such information, or if such information combined with other information can identify an individual. The personal data that we collect includes, but is not limited to, name, mailing address, birthday, marital status, contact details (including phone number and email address). For job applicants we also collect the applicant’s CV, which includes educational background, employment history and work experiences. For our employees we also collect government issued identifiers such as, but not limited to, the social security number, the TIN  number, PAG-IBIG number, and PhilHealth number.

 3.       For which purposes and how do we use collected personal data?

 

Eastvantage processes personal data only when necessary for specific purposes or required by law.

 

These are examples of where we use personal data:

  • During job application, we handle personal information of applicants

  • We handle personal data of our staff and associates for employment related matters

  • In order to provide an excellent user experience and to improve our services, we handle personal information of some of our customers

When people reach out to us regarding future commercial relations, we may handle the personal information of those that reached out to us if they sent us such information. We will only process personal information provided to us for the purpose and in the context for which the information was provided. We will seek your prior consent to the extent that such content is mandatory under applicable laws. We will never use personal data for purposes that are incompatible with the purposes of which you have been informed, unless when required or authorized by law.

4.       Will we share your personal data with third parties?

 We may need to share personal information with third parties, such as service providers or Eastvantage affiliates located in other countries. As such, those countries may not have the same level of protection of personal information as the country in which your data was initially collected. However, Eastvantage takes it upon itself to apply the same level of protection to the data being transferred as is described in this policy statement.

 

Who will have access to your personal data? The third parties we may need to share personal data are:

  • Our subsidiaries, affiliates or clients: for the purpose of managing a good customer relationships and administering our business.

  • Our advisors: for the purpose of complying with our legal and regulatory obligations.

  • Our third party service providers: they may need some information in order to provide us or you with service (for instance service providers who process information on our behalf to help run our internal business processes like data storage, managing access to information technology systems and our payroll administrator)

  • Law enforcement and regulatory bodies: so we may comply with any legal obligation or court order.

Obviously, any personal information that Eastvantage handles will never be sold to anyone. 

 

5.       How do we protect your information?

Knowing that your personal information is important to you, Eastvantage is committed to protecting your privacy. Therefore, we keep this information confidential,  and surround it with the utmost security. Furthermore, we will make sure that we only process your information based on the purpose and consent you provided to us.

Eastvantage invests in information security systems that are robust and at par with industry standards. Our information network and computer assets are resilient, and protected by physical and logical access layers. A management system to keep security updates current is in place.

Eastvantage staff is regularly briefed and trained about the importance of data security practices. We have a dedicated full time data protection officer. Data security and data privacy are being discussed at every level of the organization and follow the regular meeting rhythm in place for all our business topics.

 

6.       How will we store your personal data?

 Eastvantage retains your personal data only as long as necessary. As such, personal information that has been collected will be deleted according to the following criteria:

 

  • We retain your data only as long as we have an ongoing business relationship with you.

  • We will only keep the data while your account is active and as long as we provide services to you.

  • We will keep your personal data only as long as you are connected as an employee of this company, and for the time after that as required by law (at least 5 years).

  • We retain your personal data as necessary in order to comply with our legal obligations.

 

7.       What rights do you have with regard to processing of your Personal data?

When Eastvantage handles personal information about you, you (as the data subject) are entitled to be informed by the Eastvantage of what information is being handled and how your personal data was processed.

You are entitled and have the right to object against the processing of your personal information

You have the right to know if we hold your personal data, and if we do, you’re entitled to know its contents and get the details of your personal data.

The right to Erasure

You have the right to have us suspend, withdraw or erase your personal data.

The right for Rectification

You have the right to correct your personal data, if you see any inaccuracy or discrepancy. Eastvantage guarantees that your information will be updated the way you provided your personal information.

The right to Data Portability

You have the right to obtain your personal data from Eastvantage and be sent in an electronic or structured format that is commonly used, so the personal data can be transferred to another company if you so desire.
